Sometime in 2006, a new alt-porn site launched called DeviantNation. The focus would be less on explicit posing and more on themes, creative expression and top notch photography featuring tattooed models. The site eventually went offline, leaving a community behind that remains active to this day.
A number of alternative sites have come and gone in the wake of DN. Zivity was one of the first refuges for many DN models and photographers. That site also closed. Now, people are using Twitter/Patreon/Instagram/ETC and getting shadow bans, profile deactivations and so forth. This site lets Deviants make a profile and share some links without having to maintain a blog or tend much of a digital garden.
